Hi @rriemvis I have Justin Hoffman's nginx module running on Webmin 2.000 against nginx version 1.23.1 on Fedora 37 (beta). It should work on any other Webmin-supported platform . . . The solution for me was to ensure all required and optional dependencies for Webmin were installed (perl perl-Net-SSLeay openssl perl-IO-Tty perl-Encode-Detect) I must have missed one of these on my initial installation of Webmin. We highly recommend for the smoothest Nginx experience to use Virtualmin The bit of hosting I do is "fully managed," clients are not allowed to "touch" the server in any way, so I am not interested in extra "weight" on the server like Virtualmin. At the same time, the prepackaged LEMP stack you suggested probably makes it harder to keep multiple versions of...

OK, I have found the APKs The "Gallery" is Gallery2.apk (with that exact spelling and capitalization) The "camera" seems to be Snap.apk These are both in subfolders at /system_ext/priv-app instead of /system/priv-apps/ I feel this may be the reason a correctly configured .gapps-config can not remove them when applied to an OpenGapps install. Could you consider moving them back for the next build? Deleting manually with each flash would quickly become a pain when considering multiple phone. Thanks...

I read the .gapps-config file very carefully. In it, the app removal feature is described thusly: "Works for all apps in any system/app or system/priv-app subfolder." Would you consider moving Gallery2.apk and Snap.apk back into one of those folders instead of /system_ext/priv-app ? Thank you for your consideration!

Hi @wight554 While I love your ROM, I am not a fan of the apps included with LineageOS. In the past I have used .gapps-config to be able to remove ALL included apps included with Lineage ROMs (except Trebuchet, which always sticks around even though I have another launcher set as the default launcher). This worked with your ROM up to version 20201116. As of lineage-18.0-20201127-UNOFFICIAL-miatoll, Camera and Gallery refuse to uninstall when installing OpenGapps It looks like the app version #s may...

With lineage-18.0-20201118-UNOFFICIAL-miatoll.zip package does not allow access to USB OTG. Indeed, it does not even show up when plugged in, except in Settings / USB Preferences where I can see there is a connected device. Unfortunately, in that setting I can NOT change "USB controlled by" to "this device." I also can not turn off "charge connected device." Perhaps (especially the first of the above two settings) is causing the inability to access USB OTG. Meanwhile, external SDCard access which...

SOLVED! Oops! I had neither OpenGAPPS, nor NikGAPPS, nor MicroG nor "regular" GAPPS installed. Apparently this is required to do even a basic connection to a Google account. I guess it kinda makes sense. I did know that xGAPPS enabled use of Google Play, so when I really thought about it . . . Since there are 3 apps in the Play Store I need (until there are adequate F-Droid alternatives) and already have paid for -- OpenGAPPS (Pico) it is! (Their Android 11 Alpha seems to work fine! ) I am just astonished...

D'Oh! I just realized on the workstation I was using the mouse is sometimes having problems clicking things (physical mouse button problem, apparently) and I was not adequately clicking the "add a new backup of directory" button yesterday. So, now properly clicking "add a new backup of directory" does indeed lead to the more option-rich dialog! Funny: now I don't see how to exclude directories, which I thought was in there somewhere before. Perhaps I did it manually with "Extra command-line parameters"...

This used to work for me, but now looking at a number of servers (Webmin 1.890 and 1.881) I see an extremely limited interface (see attached screenshot). I noticed Ubuntu 18.04 (on at least one server) hadn't installed the "dump" program. I just did that, which brought forward the "filesystem type" for the restore option (also in screenshot). Regardless, when I "add a new backup of directory" I don't get any options to run the backup, exclude...

For example go to Webmin > System > System Logs and you have a directory of log files. This is great for viewing logs, but not for editing or deleting logs . . . back to File Manager! I am still of the opinion that changing the default value in File Manager will not help you much in reducing your workload....

Yes: I made enhancement requests both to Webmin/File Manager and to Authentic Theme on their respective GitHub pages. It would be better, in my opinion if this default-setting functionality could be achieved in File Manager so that any theme can take advantage. By the way, it turns out this feature already is available to "old themes" . . . but not to "new" ones like Authentic. There may be technical reasons only "old" themes can take advantage; that quetion has not yet been answered.

I am now starting to dig through Webmin configuration files as Webmin (and Linux, of course) usually has a ton of configuration options in human-readable text files. /etc/webmin/file/config and/or /etc/webmin/filemin/config -- seem like a promising place to look, but there are no lines related to the question . . .

True, but in these management cases the workflow is largely different each time. Sometimes checking logs (different ones), sometimes editing configuration files, etc. Or . . . are you saying there is the possibility of a Webmin automation script which could change the number of files displayed by the File Manager?

Sorry for my delayed response! Do you think disc comments should take the place of track comments when no track comments exist? I'm undecided about this. I think this should definitely be an option. I also wonder whether it could be "addidtive" somehow? Maybe make it an automatically (if selected in options) appended comment, possibly in brackets, i.e. [Disc Comment: blah, blah, blah ] a couple lines beneath any individually entered comment. The CDDB album comment is about the only place it is convenient...

Just started trying 1.1A 20180306 and it looks like the CDDB window is resizable (and remembers size and position on Windows. Thanks! I'll try on Linux in about a week and am "looking forward" (not really ;-) ) to finding a disk with multiple CDDB matches to see how that is now handled.

@Perplexer: While you wait for a possible feature enhancement, you can Alt-Tab to the fre:ac window while you are dragging your files. This way you don't need to target the taskbar and the response is much faster, too (taskbar "waits" to see what you are doing, Alt-Tab does not). Also, how do you imagine you are going to (conveniently?) get into a file explorer window if fre:ac is always on top? In my opinion, always on top seems like a good option only when you want to limit interaction with other...

In "Configuration For module File Manager" there does not seem to be a way to change the default "Show # Entries" in Webmin's "new" File Manager. There is also apparently no way to do this for AuthenticTheme. Is there a text file somewhere which controls this #? [25, the default, is frustratingly low for me]. The most important of these is probably the one which shows when there are multiple possible matches within CDDB (i.e. "Multiple matches found"). Not being able to change the width of that window makes it possibly difficult to assess which CDDB match is best when titles are long (common in classical music). Hi Robert: fre:ac on linux does not seem to respect my system's umask setting. I have this set to 0022 (the default) which should result in folders having 775 permissions and files having 664 permissions. However, fre:ac rips generate at 755/600 respectively. Linux permissions can be complex, so maybe I have set something up wrong, but I would appreciate it if you could check this on your end too. [ Or perhaps you want fre:ac to rip at 755/600. Hi Robert: I've been ripping quite a bit with 1.1 Alpha 20171119 the past couple days on Linux I noticed the CDDB window is not resizeable, which makes it difficult to see some of the entered metadata. Resizeability would be a good enhancement (I don't know whether this is already possible on the Windows version as I am far away from a Windows computer at the moment). Thanks for your consideration. I've been using 20171119 On Linux for the past few days and the stability seems very good. Thanks. Feature requests to be posted in a moment. A quick important bug note: The "comment" entered into the CDDB data window does not show up when playing the file back in VLC or other players. Player metadata viewers rather show: "fre:ac - free audio converter https://www.freac.org/" in the comment field. Webmin file manager (now) navigates to directories with either "+" or "&" in the name. However, correctly formed bookmarks to those directories still generate the error listed in the original post in this thread. Detail: if you create a new bookmark it "works." However, on restarting Webmin, the "new" bookmark (or any such "old" bookmark) does not work!

Interesting: I just noticed the "missing +" in Webmin file manager does not seem to affect my LinuxMint 18.1systems but still DOES affect Webmin 1.831 with (now) Authentic Theme 18.45 on Ubuntu Linux 16.04.1 It doesn't make sense to me that LinuxMint 18.1 should not be affected when it is based on Ubuntu 16.04 Does this make any sense to you?

Thank you Jamie! A couple questions: Where are Webmin's "known issues" listed? I just saw that Webmin also tracks issues on GitHub. Where do you prefer bugs to be reported? http://www.webmin.com/bugs.html seems to suggest SourceForge is the cardinal location, but as developers move code to Github, that is often no longer true. Does Webmin have a regular or published release cycle/schedule? Or does it happen as you find "spare" time?
