Also, to register the COM Server we need to open the Cmd with Administrator privileges (ctrl + shift + enter).
Hello, I manage to solve and start the OpenDSS GUI after installing VCRUNTIME140.dll from the link https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/vcruntime140dll-and-msvcp140dll-missing-in-windows/caf454d1-49f4-4d2b-b74a-c83fb7c38625 I believe it is another issue, not related with the one above. Just keeping you informed. Ezequiel
Hello folks I changed my computer and I'm having an issue installing the last OpenDSS 1000_2 in Windows 10. I really didn't know what is happening, but the issue is related registering the COM Server. I got the "Unable to register DLL/OCX: RegSvr32 failed with exit code 0x3". If I try to manually register (like in the old days) by the command "regsvr32 OpenDSSengine.dll", but I'm getting the message "The module OpenDSSengine.dll failed to load". Make sure the binary is stored at the specified path...
Hello all, As it took me a couple of hours to model the low voltage underground cables (185mm2, 240, 300, 400, 500), following R.Dugan suggestion to use CNData and fake the neutral resistance. So, I'm awakening this thread and sharing my script. If someone sees something strange, please tell me.
If I use dssElem.Close(2,0) the switch is not properly closed, but if I use dssText.Command= 'close Line.nigs5 term=1' it is properly closed Have you tried dssElem.Close(1,0) ? Maybe this can help https://sourceforge.net/p/electricdss/discussion/861976/thread/6c0c5113/
Solved: I'm using the proporty kVArated for both Generators and PVSystems. Would be cool expose kv for PVSystems in COM interface (at moment it is not).
I found out what's going on. In Generator obj, the kw value is multiplied by the 1st loadshape value (in case 0.0001), even if run a daily PF before in another hour (multiplier =1.0), which is strange. I'm thinking in a way to work around this...
Hello all, I wrote a small function to give me a feeders summary (number of transformers, loads, generators, and their capacity) from the official COM interface. I noticed that kw property from Generators class is divided by 10.000 (while if I change from Generators to PVSystems (in this case, kVArated property), I got the correct results). I also checked the OpenDSS GUI report (Show/Generators) and the results there are correct (so I think it is only a interface issue).
