Currently, when I create a disk image of my server, I get for ex : -rw------- 1 root root 599031765669 juil. 6 08:40 sdi1.ext4-ptcl-img.zst Is it possible (during the image creation), to create smaller files (of 50 or 100GB max each) which, concatenated together, will create the 600GB file as above ? It would be possible to split this big file after the image creation but : 1) it means I'll need 2 times...

Hi, Sorry for this very very late answer (I didn't notice you answered to this post). Using the Ubuntu-based version of Clonezilla solved this issue. And this version could detect my wifi chipset while the Debian-based version was not able. Conclusion : continue to maintain the Ubuntu-based version. You can forget about the Debian-based one :). Hi, I have a recurring issue which is that Clonezilla "seems" to rename/mix my partitions. This becomes a nightmare when I want to restore one of them. I'll try to be clear : I have saved these 3 partitions : sda1, sdc1 ,sdc5 (see picture IMG_20210703_123420.jpg) I could select them from their type (ext4) and size. But their name is not correct. Hi, I'm using NEdit version NEDIT-NG-START-3-g3f9b730 with a french keyboard. The key '-' can have 3 functionalities : hit '-' => - sign hit 'shift+-' => 6 sign hit 'AltGraph+-' => | sign The bindkeys 'Ctrl+6' is supposed to set 'UPPERCASE'. But when I hit 'Ctrl+-', I decrease the font size. If I hit 'Ctrl+Shit+-', the I set 'UPPERCASE'. I can't set 'lowercase', except from the menu Edit => lowercase. Hi, I've checked that on another cluster, the compilation was working fine. It seems that the file parse.c is created by another executable (bison). This bison executable file is different/bad/older than the one on the 2nd cluster. After I've used the one under /bin/bison and not the default one placed in another directory structure, the compilation passed. Xuo.

Hi, Under normal circumstances, changing the font via X resource is the better way - actually that's what they are intended, namely user customization. I agree. But it's not easy to find the correct variable name and syntax to do the job. Well, modifying the source code is not easy neither. And about the date, it would be great to find a way to know which version we are using. The commit value is not really self-explaining. Regards. Xuo.

Hi, I don't think it can help because I don't change the device name. I've saved sda1 and I want to restore it onto the sda1 partition. This is what I don't understand in the error message. The saved partition needs to be restored on exactly the same partition (same disk, same computer, ...). Hi, I'm using clonezilla-live-2.6.6-15-amd64.iso. I've saved several partitions (sda1, sda5, sda6, sdb1) on an LVM partition. This LVM partion consists of sda8 and sdc1. I remember I've followed the explanations described in this document (https://www.linuxtricks.fr/wiki/lvm-sous-linux-volumes-logiques), in french ... Hi, With the last version of Clonezilla (clonezilla-live-20180812-bionic-amd64), I do not have the 2 error messages at the beginning of the boot. But the issue is still the same : the lvm partitions are not available. So I've manually mounted /home/partimag : mount /dev/mapper/vg_export1-lv_data /home/partimag then on the gui, I've saved the partitions NOT used in the lvm partition (/dev/sdc1 and /dev/sda8 in this case). When I open a tab, the selected tab should display the name of the file, while the unselected tabs should display the file names in "grey" mode. In my case, the difference beween the 2 modes is really tiny. In other words, it is hard to make the difference between a selected tab and an unselected one.
