Hi Michael, Thanks for providing the missing translations and improving the existing translations. That's much appreciated. Version 3.6.2 released on friday includes a bit more text. Would you be able to translate these as well. If so, please find the latest XLIFF file attached. Finally, what name should I use for adding you to the credits? Just Michael?

Hi Matthew, Thanks for the detailed investigation and for providing a fix. I used your code as a basis, but made some further improvements. This is included in Version 3.6.2 which I just released. Hi Matthew, thanks for the report. Can you try the following? Remove FDA access for GrandPerspective and grant it again? This has fixed it for me before, but I am not sure if that is due to my developer set-up, or if it also holds for others when installing the released app.

Hi Leon Thanks for the report. Which version of macOS do you have? This could matter. Also, can you share the start-up logs you see? For that, you can start the application from the terminal, e.g. /Applications/GrandPerspective.app/Contents/MacOS/GrandPerspective This is what I see on start-up (on Monteray): GrandPerspective[57833:3023000] FDA permission check using /Users/erwin/Library/Containers/com.apple.stocks succeeded

Hi Marc, Whenever I request new translations, I always release a new version of GrandPerspective shortly after that, with all translations received up till then. This is typically a release that only includes updated translations. This version then becomes the default download. So you do not have to wait long for the release that includes your translations. The reason for already releasing a version with new functionality, without updated translations, is two-fold. First, it lets (English) users...

Hi Janosh, I have added new functionality so that GrandPerspective tries to check if it has Full Disk Access on start up. If it does not, it will show an alert and suggests the user to change the permissions. This functionality will be part of the next release, which is expected soon.

For my response to the error, see https://sourceforge.net/p/grandperspectiv/bugs/120/ To answer the feature request: It's currently not directly possible to filter on export. However, you can achieve the same thing by filtering the contents of a scan (via Window -> Filter....). That let's you create a custom filter to exclude small files. This creates a new view, which you can then save/export.

When do you get this error? Does it appear immediately, or only after a progress panel appears with progress bar, and it fails midway somewhere? The reason I ask is that I doubt that the large size (a detail from https://sourceforge.net/p/grandperspectiv/feature-requests/115/) causes the save to fail. I suspect that there is another reason that creating the file fails. For example, do you have permissions to create the file in the selected folder? Thanks for the suggestion. I understand where it's coming from. It is annoying when a you initiate a scan and when you expect it to be done, find a prompt that caused the scan to pause. Unfortunately, it is not easy to queue permission requests. First, there is no feedback to the app when it is blocked by a permission request. Instead, it has to infer this via a watchdog mechanism that detects lack of progress. Second, it is very hard to orchestrate. Already the scanning logic is pretty complex in...

Hi Emir, GrandPerspective 3.6 contains coloring by size, which requires a few more translations. Are you able to provide these? You can provide them inline, or return the attached XLIFF. Thanks! Size Larger than %@ Smaller than %@ Smallest The first is the name of the new color mapping scheme, the other text are descriptions for the colors when this scheme is used.
