    Well, since it does not send the scan directly to the printer, but only via Paint Shop and I can then print from there, I tried "Find printer" but that did not help either. But that is OK as a kind of workaround and I can live with that.

    OK, thanks, I managed to "ungrey" Printer in the start manue and martk the one I have. When I open Printer, it does show my printer, but when I there klick "Find printer" it finds nothing. I even activated some "Ntework search" in an apparently private mode (no outside network), and that did not help. Well, I can live with the workaround to first let the scan go to my image progran (PaintShop Pro) and the I can print form there...

    I can open iCopySewttings and there see my printer entered. But whan I start iCopy the place where printer settings could be entered is greyed out. My printer is not connected via USB but via a USB-ParallelPort adapter to the parallel port at the printer. Because my Win7 does not list Canon iP4000 among USB printers, but with this workaround trick and the printer CD it does... iCopy scans and opens a graphic appplication to show the scan preview as an image, and then I can print it from there. But...

    I installed iCopy portable today. It scans and shows the scan and can make a pdf out of it. But it does not find my printer (Canon iP4000). What can I do?
