I reinstalled my Windows 7, then encrypted the system partition and added the other two encrypted partitions i have, to the system favorites, but for some reason they won't auto mount when Windows starts and i can't find why. And the funny thing is that before reinstalling Windows i had the same setup and these two partitions were auto mounting without issue on Windows start. I don't know if it is not a bug in the lateset version 1.24.
Before i start Clonezilla i manually mount the partition that will serve as saving location to /home/partimg. But when i start Clonezilla and it ask me for the location if i select the partition i already mounted Clonezilla shows that device is already mounted or the mount point is busy and i can't go on, i have to exit Clonezilla. Is there a way to make Clonezilla skip asking me for the saving location since it is already mounted?
I encrypt all my parititions. And i don't know what you mean with 'encryption key will be broken'. But, anyway, this is not the issues i have.
The system partition on my internal hard disk is not encrypted, but i want to save it on the encrypted external partition.
If the encrypted partition is not mounted how Clonezilla will mount it? It's encrypted with VeraCrypt and can be mounted only with VeraCrypt.
I have external hard disk, with one encrypted with VeraCrypt partition, connected to my laptop. I want to save the backup image of my system partition on my internal hard diks to my external hard disk. I am using Parted Magic from live usb. Before i start Clonezilla i mount the external drive with this command: 'veracrypt /dev/sdc1 /home/partimg'. Then i start Clonezilla and point to external disk partition as location to save the backup image, but then Clonezilla shows that the device /deb/sdc1...
What commands did you use to mount the encrypted external drive to /home/partimg from the command line? I am having the same issue.
I created live usb using the latest version 2.5.6-22, but Clonezilla won't boot from RAM. I get a black screen with error messages if i try to boot from ram. I had to download older version - 2.4.9-17, which is booting fine from ram.
