Hi Mounir yes, after reviewing the file dcsprop, I came to the same conclusion as you, even after a succesfull auth, the action cause to reload itself. What is misleading is the fact that I believed the bootmgfw.efi was the original os file but, the file was in fact veracrypt own file (renamed to original os file) and not the windows one. I guess that I've done this at first while searching a way to boot the os without having to type a password while having only a specific usb key installed. I made...

hi, thanks for your response. keep in mind that I decrypted the os partition and removed veracrypt totally, so, I can't do any more tests. But, I tried booting with the rescue disk, but had the same behavior as when booting from the HDD : ask for password in a loop even when it successfully validate my password. The thing is, before updating to 1.24, I did not have any problem booting. the version installed was 1.23 hotfix 2 Here is the DcsProp I was using: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>...

hi I've updated veracrypt to latest 1.24 version (selected upgrade in the installer) and since then, I can't boot. My os partition is encrypted, os is windows 10. I use a preboot password, the veracrypt loader ask me for password, I type it, it says success (password is correct and accepted) i see a line start 0 length xxxxxxx (not sure of the number here but it's just sectors so, not relevant) and then it ask me for password again, I retype it, same success message but it keep asking me for password...

I've a problem while launching veracrypt on a computer running win7 x64: on this machine, it refuse to run claiming that the distribution package is corrupted (when l try to launch VeraCrypt Portable 1.23-Hotfix-2.exe) and if I run it or decompress it on another machine, it run without problem. I also have the message "[?]dist_package_corrupted[?]" when trying to run VeraCrypt-x64.exe on this win 7 machine. I'm 100% sure that the dowloaded "VeraCrypt Portable 1.23-Hotfix-2.exe" is not corrupt, I've...

thanks you very much, I wasn't aware of this. I've got it to work (autologin without password) while veracrypt efi bootloader installed on hdd, but when I move the EFI folder on a usb key (fat32 formated, BCD adjusted with bootice) it doesn't work anymore. At first, the auth failed, so I restored the keys from a rescue usb disk onto the usb containing booting efi files. Then, the auth was successfull, but just after that got an windows blue screen error 0xc000000f and can't boot any further. I may...

I'm trying to achieve, like the title said, to boot an encrpypted os (UEFI) without the need to type a password. Right now, the os is installed and boot while encrypted but it request the password every time I reboot. I would like to have the necessity to insert a usb key (with a keyfile ?) in order to validate the decryption, without asking for a password. I've haven't found any valuable information to do this, so I ask here : is it possible and if so, how ? ps: I don't want to use a yubikey because...
