I've been working on a package build process for native MinGW and want to ensure that it also works for Linux. This project will begin by contain the build process for making packages hosted on Linux to be used for cross compilation for hosted MinGW applications.
Secondarily will be build scripts used for the cross compilation process. The major difference in the build processes between native, linux host for MinGW and Linux cross will be the package.ini file.
Today I was successful in building the mingwrt package on Linux in a hosted directory of $(HOME)/linux/mingw/mingw32. When we are able to build 64bit packages the prefix will be $(HOME)/linux/mingw/mingw64.
This will take some time to get completely correct but should be a benefit to MinGW for developers using the package build process. Linux is just friendlier.
