Thanks, now I found it, you can close the ticket. It seems to be a browser issue- maybe also my system fonts. Those links were showing up in black (unvisited link?) on black background. When I mouse over, the background changes and the link is visible. After clicking once, if I go back the links are light blue but a very fine (un-bold) font so as to be scarcely visible even against the black background. Even though I have my browser (seamonkey-7.53.13) set to always use colors specified by the page....

I just want to know how to login to sourceforge with a web brower! There used to be a link "log in" or "log on" The only thing I can find is "log in to post a ticket" or something like that. Then I could cancel the ticket and click onb "files" or "discussion" or whatever I wanted to log in for. But since I had the opportunity, I mentioned the lack of a login link. It occurs to me now this may be a problem with my browser- I'll try with firefox and chrome see if I can find the login link.; On 8/3/22...

If you got the pre-relese version dated June 3 2019, you should replace it with the current version! in the 1.0 full release, the consol/dashbord form with the list of spectra was not updated to reflect changes in the list due to operations not through the dashboard (such as deleting all spectra or loading new spectra. The original idea was that the console would be invoked to select traces for specific operations, and dismissed afterwards. It turns out to be convenient to keep this open, like a...

In between full releases, updated executables will be be placed in the "pre-release" folder. If you find a bug in the version you are using, check if the pre-release version is newer, and if so check if the bug is fixed in it. If not, please let me know!

It may not be obvious how to ask a new question on this discussion board. You click the left-hand link "create topic". You will have a choice of the three forums, or it will default to the forum you were reading. While you are reading onother post, there is always the option to reply to that post. You do not need to log in or leave a name, but the posts are moderated so it may be a day or two before they become visible. - Ed Berry

Forgot to mention- the new version was released last Spring, and with it the latest version of the documentation for importing data (which may be the same as that attached to previous post). https://sourceforge.net/projects/scanedit/files/openspectralworks-1.0/doc/dataimport.pdf/download BTW it may not be obvious how to ask a new question on this discussion board. The new release contains a much advanced single VB program that incorporates the functionality of the old quickbasic suite, is relatively intuitive to use, and has considerable documentation including three step-by-step tutorials. Further documentation as well as any program upgrades will be available in the "pre-release" directory. - For more information before deciding to download, look at the pdf's in: https://sourceforge.net/projects/scanedit/files/openspectralworks-1.0/doc/, especially "GettingStarted"...

The new version is made with VisualBasic, and will not run natively under linux. However it does run very nicely in wine on linux. This was tested using wine distributed with Fedora 14, which is wine-1.3.24. Preformance was not noticeably degraded compared to a windows system. It is an old version (6) of VB, using ".com" instead of ".net", but microsoft has promised support of VB6 through the lifetime of Windows 10. It may be necessary to install the "common dialog" ocx control, which we supply together...
