I have installed te 25th version in old HP5700 without troubles. But when I connect the loudspeaker I found a cyclic "toc-toc" sound on it. If I start playing any sound file, this toc-toc noise disappears and the music sounds perfectly. At the end of playing the noise starts again. I ha ve finally found the solution. This is caused by an energy-saving procedure when any sound is sent to PC output. To solve it do sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf and add the line options snd-hda-intel power_save=0...

I have version 24 and 25 in two PCs, one on each. In version 25 I can activate and deactivate asking for password in users settings, but in version 24 this option is deactivated, it is in gray. So in version 24 I must type my password each time it boot. How can I fix it?

I have added some direct access in the desktop for programs and Internet addresses normally used (QRZ, eQSL, etc) The first Linux distribution I used was Mandrake with a Pentium, long time ago, I discontinued using it and now I return back 73 Ramon, EA3JI

I've had the same problem because I did not read all recommendations of Andy, stupid of me. Download README and GETTING STARTED and follow all recommendations, specially point 18 of GETTING STARTED. In this way there will be any trouble. 73 Ramon, EA3JI

I did install v24e on an old HP6366 running with I3 at 2.92 MHz. I had to burn your distro in DVD with Nero because this PC does not allow boot from USB, only from DVD . There was any trouble installing it in a new partition. After that I did compile JTDX according to its INSTALL procedure. All run OK and I do not need install more libraries because all dependencies are yet installed. JTDX is running well. Yesterday I decided improve v24e to Ubuntu 20.04.4 LTS. The process took more than 4 hours...
