I checked DirectX as it seems to be a problem according to the vice.log. Dxdiag reported everything OK, also checking WHQL-signatures, also the 64bit version(s), DirectX 11 was in place. Checked for updates regarding DirectX, found out there's an update available to DirectX 11.1 using Microsoft KB2670838 ( https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/download/details.aspx?id=36805 ). Installed, restarted, works

There is no emulated screen from any .exe (no render target).

I had the same problem again, twice, this time I was running from cmd, actually via a .bat file that's supposed to -u (update) a file that is dropped on the -bat file, quite handy. I managed to read 11 buttons before it crashed the first time. When trying again I get an error on a buttton that is a bit tricky and fails sometimes - and it quits. Tried to run it from cmd "x64.exe -default", gives same error if clicking "SID settings",...

I have an AMD opteron 180 CPU.
