An update: I started a new kernel fresh from scratch and backtracked the steps that would break FreeRADIUS. I was able to get FreeRADIUS up and running until following the FreeRADIUS configuration part of the RadiusDESK tutorial, "Configuring FreeRADIUS version 3.x." After extracting the RADIUSdesk modified version of FreeRADIUS to the respective directory, results in the same errors as above, Aborted connection 351 to db: 'rd' user: 'rd' host: 'localhost' (Got an error reading communication packets)...
Followed the installation instructions on the Wiki for Ubuntu 20.04 and get the following errors when attempting to start FreeRADIUS via systemctl start freeradius. I've spent a few hours trying to resolve the issue now but no luck. Has anyone come up with a similar error? Or any tips or recommendation on resolving it? Someone on stackoverflow had a similar issue but with daloradius. (I've posted his recommendations below but am unsure of how to go about implementing it with RadiusDESK.) Thank you....
