I realize this is not really a clonezilla issue, But! Is there a link documentation on how to fixup the W10 registry and what ever else needs to be done to install and run the cloned image with all it's setup and configuration on a different machine?
Hmm, It's been a while and no response. I did find a more recent thread that indicated experimental support for 64-bit arm. But, RasPi only supports 32-bit arm mode. Not sure about the Odroid XU4. Can somebody comment on my ideas for a work around?
I'd like to use Clonezilla on my Ubuntu-Mate arm based systems. (Raspberry Pi, Odroid). Clonezilla depends on drbl. Drbl depends on syslinux. Syslinux does not support arm. So far, all my googling has turned up is stale discussions from many years ago. Things have probably changed. Syslinux deals with putting clonezilla on bootable media. I'm sure arm has a package that performs the same functions. Is there a stub for a module that encapsulates an api between clonezilla and the boot software? For...
I took your prior suggestion and installed language-pack-en. This installed a couple of dozen English regional dialect locales. This took care of the problem. Your latest suggestion may solve the problem without installing as much cruft. I'll try it when I upgrade the next box to 18.04. D'Oh! Forgot to mention it's pwsafe v1.04 Beta. On June 3, 2018, at 11:23 AM, Drew Einhorn drew.einhorn@gmail.com wrote: New ubuntu mate 18.04 on arm desktop. Installed from repos. $locale -a C C.UTF-8 POSIX $ So, how do I get pwsafe to use one of these, or add en_US to the supported locales. Will a database created on a system with one locale look corrupt on a system with another? I'd expect it to. I'm not sure, but i think most if not all of my systems are posix or utf-8 since I don't use any locales supporting more than 8bit characters. It's been almost 3.5 years since the last update. What about using https://github.com/google/u2f-ref-code as a basis for supporting the u2f standard instead of the Yubi code that only supports Yubi devices? Yubikeys are great, but too expensive. I've been using password safe for many years. But, I'm seriously considering switching to a password manager that supports generic u2f keys with nfc.
I use Password Safe with properly generated secure passwords for nearly all accounts. But, I also keep other username/password combinations for other accounts where I am not in control and must use credentials dictated by management and/or other parts of the bureaucracy. I want to keep all login information in the same place. It would be nice to automatically generate warnings about bad passwords on these accounts. It's probably simplest and easiest to check all passwords regardless of their source...
If you are a super paranoid, security conscious user, this may not be a good idea. I used to use a shell script wrapper to do the timeout. Some time ago an upgrade to the linux version eliminated the need. Browse through the menus on whatever version you are using. Hi, I'd like to suggest making sure all fields from the various .img files are supported in the .csv file. When I want to update my configuration and download a fresh .img file from the radio. And merge a .csv configuration for my Baofeng BF-F8HP, then upload the result to the radio. The power levels all get set to high because power level is not supported in the .csv file and that's the default. I really want the power level setting from my previous configuration to be maintained. Or, at least set...
I believe I have sucessfully created images on Lenovo T440 and T520. I won't be sure untill I successfully restore them in a virtural machine. I've set the same clonezilla-live-2.5.0-25-amd64.iso that I used to create the bootable usb drive I used creating the disk and partition images. It boots to the first screen where you hit enter to start clonezilla with default settings. When you hit enter, or after you adjust defaults, it fails to load the next screen, and auto reboots every 30 seconds and...
