Thanks for all your feedback. What a quick response! :-) Then, in Inventor I will have to redo the distribution of workpoints on all the intersections I gererated by the loft (between the root section and tip section). Half span, there's a total of18 intersections + tip and root to enter and set in XFLR5, finally to achieve a bell shaped lift distribution for my flying wing. I had separated the workpoints on all sections with a distance of 2 mm along the curveline. With a chord of up to 320 mm that...

Hello André, I'm designing a flying wing using Inventor. I used the Add-on Program "Points Editor" to export the coordinates of the work points of all wing sections from the loft into Excel. That worked great. I used Notepad to generate a .dat-file for me. That also went well. As an attachement I added one of these files. Opening these .dat-files in 'Direct Foil Design' doesn't do a thing. None of them work in Direct Foil Design. Opening other dat-files from other sources is no problem at all for...

Thank you, André, for your fast reply! Yes, indeed, this plane has been reported to fly very decent and stable (not my own experience, because I never build one before). This free flight model will turn to the right because of the buid in wash in. A clever design. The constructor, Henry Cole, has a vast career at the american Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) and was credited with several honors and national records, ...so not a daydreaming lunatic. I find this setup interesting for FPV because...

Hi, André, I would like to use XFLR5 to design an asymmetric glider with e-motor for FPV; Like this one f.e.; https://freercplans.com/plan466.search.htm At this moment I think it is not possible to design an assymetric wing and/or elevator (except for the profiles only - as I have read in the instructions). Are there realy no possibilities to analyze an asymmetrical design in XFLR5 (...now, and in the future)? BTW, I would like to express with force my respect towards you (and those who surround...

Hi André, thanks for your reply! It took me some time searching, copying, unpacking and pasting, but finally I managed to install the program. Yes!!! Personally I think it would be more logic if all files were offered in one single download file (for the ignorant like me). Anyway, thank you very much for your concern. I appreciate it very much that you volunteered to answer my question very rapidly. Therefore I wish you and the ones you love a very very happy new year, and a good health more precisely....
