Hi Daniel. I wouldn't be opposed to having that uniformity. That said, the naming convention for the drives allows us to see what we have at a glance and how the drives are configured. Further, in vSphere, you can't replicate drive names across multiple servers - each, apparently, must be unique. If I only need to deal with the drama for the initial install, I can live with that.
