One thing I found on the Microsoft Azure servers was that it made a big difference to use nice to run the server at high priority. My startup line is sudo nice -n -20 jamulus -s -n there was a big drop in ping time after that I did that

Sure! One other thing, sorry if this is obvious, but you'll want to connect you speakers/headphones to the Audiobox and have the mixer knob turned all the way to playback.
I have a friend who uses a similar setup - he has 2 mics and 2 instruments going into the mixer, mixes those to the main outs and connects the mains to the 2 inputs on the Audiobox.
I would be grateful for your advice Albert, I tried to get Jack running on Windows with my AudioBox and it was a total failure.

I downloaded the french ISO from your original post and it worked flawlessly (after I changed the keyboard layout :) ) This is a great resource in particular for people interested in private servers with the new "low-latency" 64 sample-size Jamulus. I and others have found that the Windows server does not work well with the new version but the Linux server is fine. OK here's what I found 1) Jamulus 64 on Linux running to local server (127.0.0.1) -> flawless 2) Jamulus 64 on Linux running to server on different machine (Win 10) -> audio very corrupt (note that Linux client was 3.4.6git and windows server was 3.4.5git) I also notice that on my laptop, Jamulus run to 127.0.0.1 is flawless for both 64 and 128 bit versions. When I boot the machine to Windows, there are occasional red flashes and glitches for both, so it looks like that old bug you reference might...
