Could you please open submit your bug report to github as a Freeplane bug report at https://github.com/freeplane/freeplane/issues ? Maybe there is a waiting time after registering a new github account because many fresh accounts are used for spamming. Please attach all relevant html examples as zipped files, I can not reproduce the problem from text fragments mentioned here probably because source forge modifies them.

I think it is already possible. When you create a new issue on GitHub you should be shown a selector differentiating between bugs and feature requests.

I checked it. The bug was introduced by the new look and feels of the flat l&f family. I fixed it now. The fix should be available in the next preview (probably at the weekend). If you select one of the old look and feels and restart you should get the old behavior even with the current stable version 1.9.13.

Outline view shows summary nodes, floating nodes and nodes with changed locations at the same positions as if they were just ordinary nodes. Adding other outline view like layouts is not difficult while creating new layouts considering this information is very challenging.

I would probably sum up our discussion a bit differently: Instead of this discussion forum we could use discussion forum on GitHub and disable write access to this forum. However deleting it seems to be not a good option and migrating the content somewhere else seems difficult. I think if we move all new discussions to GitHub I would also use issue tracker of GitHub instead of SourceForge. Actually I prefer bugs to be reported as a bug ticket at https://sourceforge.net/p/freeplane/bugs/. But this issue is not a bug. I was asked to indicate menu items acting as on-off toggles this way. Regards, Dimitry

Hello Edo and folks, I like the add-on too. I think it works better as add-on than as a part of the core Freeplane because it uses proprietary styles in mind map and there can be independent modifications in both the format and the content. However we can think about distributing it with Freeplane. I have submitted a PR fixing an issue on MacOS. Regards, Dimitry

Really? All new nodes are selected after I create them. How do you create a new node? What happens if you start typing after it is created? Could you submit a bug report with screen shots showing what does not work for you? Please do not reply here because I prefer not to handle bug reports in the forum. Regards, Dimitry

For embedding mindmaps in MediaWiki, there seems to be a solution already: https://www.freeplane.org/wiki/index.php/Embedding_mind_maps Unfortunately both flash and java applets are not supported any longer (the applets probably still can run in MS Internet Explorer but in no other browsers) and therefore mind maps can not be embedded as described.

I have got really nice experiences with lean coffee. There the agenda and the timing are defined by all participants and are very flexible. In case we get more than 10 participants I have an idea how to split groups so that they it still works for everyone and everyone can contribute.

I handle bad performance issues as bugs. I need to have an mind map with all related image files. It does not need to be your original mind map if you don't want me to see it. You probably even can replace all images files by one file references from the same nodes. If you observe bad performance on it please create a bug report, describe which operations on which nodes I can use to investigate the problem and then I can try to fix it. It would also be interesting to know if the older versions also...

if you do choose to keep the transparency buttons, they are very buggy at 1.9.13_17. they show the transparency status incorrectly. its even hard to describe the issue, just play 2 minutes with the buttons and you will see some bugs. I generally need bug reports to fix bugs. I am sorry but without a detailed bug report no fix is possible. I definitely agree with everything macmarrum expressed here. I want to have a free space for everyone expressing personal feelings, observations and ideas and arguments and to agree or disagree on ideas freely without a fear to be judged as a person . For me the quickfold's statement "I feel that you have violated the standards of personal respect" does not sound as a feeling. Copy and paste actions are available from the button popup menu, I have not removed them. They are just not likely to be discovered there if you don't know about them. Do you think it is sufficient?

I implemented last idea by macmarrum in 1.9.13_16 and even improved transparent and partually transparent colors are shown. I am not sure if I like it because 3 additional small icons feel cluttered, not seeing them felt better. Ideas?

Interesting conversation. I introduced invisible shape in January 2022 after Rexel showed me nodes with transparent both the background and the border. They never became a part of a stable release. Because it looks like the be shape raise many questions and the same functionality can be achieved using transparent colors I do not see any longer why it should be kept. I can not include it into a stable release until the questions are resolved. Therefore I am going to remove this option for now integrating...
