I agree it would be great to have this fixed. Using this app daily and am sure this bug is also preventing others newly installing from continuing to use the app as they may think it doesn't work if the transparent blue box doesn't appear. I had a similar problem, then discovered my keyboard's windows key has been broken completely (weird that it happened 2 days after installing the app.) I changed keyboards, now it works again. I swopped my keyboard with a colleage's...mine now at least works. I'm currently using Windows 10.
