Ich werde in Kürze auch die Version 1.8.7-1 aktualisieren, damit auch ältere Distributionen auf den neuesten Stand gebracht werden können. Beim Code für das Berechnen des freien Platzes auf dem zu sichernden Medium war ein Fehler. Ich denke, dass auch dieses Problem gelöst ist. Ich hatte glücklicherweise heute auch Probleme beim Berechnen, so dass ich schnell eine Lösung gefunden habe

Leider hast Du Recht. Die erstellte fsa-Datei wird gelöscht. In den nächsten Tagen gibt es eine korrigierte Version. Die Version2.8.7-0 ein Qt6 Programm funktioniert nicht bei älteren Versionen von Mint, Ubuntu und Debian. Der Grund ist, dass bei den älteren Versionen eine Qt6.Komponente sich nicht installieren lässt. Mounten: werde versuchen einen Hinweis zu programmieren, ob die Partition eingehängt ist. Danke für die Hinweise

Hi Which version did you work with? The current version is 1.8.7.0. What did you do? Did you cancel the program? Did the program hang up? Only with further information can I search for a possible error. I have not received an error report with loss of backup for years. Regards Dieter

I have only now seen that the ReadMe is incorrect. Will correct it. The ReadMe file in the tarball at /doc/ is correct. For jammy, cifs-utils still needs to be installed when backing up over the network. findsmb is also missing, but cannot be installed at this time.

In the ReadMe file is written: libzstd1-dev This is wrong. Correct is: libzstd-dev. In Jammy you may also need to install cif-utils. To be on the safe side, I have included the note in the ReadMe file. The corrected tarball is published

I installed the daily update from jammy today. According to the ReadMe file I installed the dependencies first and then qt-fsarchiver and qt-fsarchiver-terminal. Everything works. Easier is the installation with a deb pact that installs all dependencies itself.

Unfortunately I cannot reproduce the mistake. I reinstalled the deb package for Debian 10.2 with this command: apt install qt-fsarchiver-0.8.5-18-amd64.deb I received some error messages saying to try apt update. I entered this command; apt update Running apt install qt-fsarchiver-0.8.5-18-amd64.deb again worked without problems now

I have compared the md5sum of my computer file with the english file at sourceforge. They are identical. With the ubuntu usb-creator i wrote the iso file on a USB stick. The stick works with the MBR and UEFI. Tomorrow I will create the stick with Mint 18.3 and Mint's 'USB Image Writer'. I will report about the result tomorrow

I corrected the iso file and uploaded it. I didn't change the version number.

The iso-file works fine with DVD. An USB-Stick with the iso file works only in the UEFI modus. I search the error. (it's not easy)

The hard crash of the program is not so critical. I disconnected the connection to the usb hard drive and close the programm. I finished the program hard. I turned off the power. The root partition was not destroyed. The computer started allways without problems. I do not recommend doing these things!!

I do not know enough about Raid. Is it okay if I install mdadmin in the live dvd? Do you use the german or the english version? After your answer, I create a new iso-file with mdadm and upload it. I ask you to test the new live DVD. Regards

During the backup of the root partition, the program must never be terminated. Then the folder / tmp / fsa / .... is deleted and the system partition. In the next version, I removed the red button to finish hard the program

The launch package will be translated on Ubuntu and the deb packages on my machine. I think the deb packages and the launchpad packages are the same. With kubuntu neon I tested with launchpad. I will also test with the deb package

I have backed up multiple system partitions without qt5-fsarchiver to close. I don't habe problems. I works with Ubuntu 16.04 and 18.04. Do you get any error messages?

I fixed the bug with zstd and have uploaded the fix. Thanks for the note. I'll test restarting qt5-fsarchiver again.

Do you use qt4-fsarchiver or qt5-fsarchiver? qt4-fsarchiver is deprecated and replaced by qt5-fsarchiver. Question: kubuntu neon is installed on a gpt partition? I will install kubuntu neon on a gpt partition and try to find out the error. I'll get back to you in the next few days.
