Let me ask you this: The Epson (or Seiko or whatever) supplied driver works a treat aside from hi-res printing and some other smaller things. Is the matter of making more resolution settings available a matter of editing the PPD, or is it way more in-depth than that? I was able to modify the supplied PPD to add 11x17 paper, for example. Thanks for taking the time to respond.

I may just t be willing to get you one, if you are keen to put this a-hole printer [series] in its place. What kind of painful things do you need to do to the printer? Nothing I could do? Because I would love to inflict pain and suffering on mine. Are you in the US? I'm on ebay right now. Give me a zip code.

OK. I am feeling extremely adventurous. Just tell me what to do. I could just get a different printer, but that would be letting them win. I can not print at a high resolution via the Epson escpr driver (300 dpi max??) and using the Gutenprint WF-75XX series it just spits blank papers.
