I'm having a similar problem, maybe I should start a new issue? I'll explain a bit, I'm using a Fujitsu S1300 scanner with document feeder and duplex capability. I have been scanning the whole morning switching between manual double and single sided. ( the option was visible on "Page Options" tab ) After a break with the computer in standby and the scanner off, I no longer see the "Single sided"/"Double sided" switches.
