Ok, thx. I'm still confused, if the linked table can be opened in the Design View, how come I can't do getProperties? The Design View will show the columns when offline, so no connection.

When hitting normal Access table, we are getting the table name, structure and the caption all fine. However, not so for a linked one, ie getProperties() wont work. In Access, it is still possible to open Design View and see the structure. Thx
