Thanks, Alex, I appreciate those tips. I've got my first Veroroute-routed board under construction now -- a tiny device that can extend microcontroller battery life by up to 400 times.

While using wires and moving components to resolve broken nets, I notice the auto-router is a bit unpredictable about what net to join the wire to. Is there a way to compel the app to assign a wire to a specific net? Also, I'm noticing that the auto-router sometimes changes its topology completely when I move a single component just one unit to the left or right, even in a way that does not change the topology. For instance, I move a connector one unit to the left, and the auto-router goes from fully-routed...

Thanks for that, Alex. I'm now at the point of engaging the auto-routing, and trial-and-error placements to conserve real estate while minimising needed wires and veroboard track cutting. The app itself is great. The UI does take a bit of learning.

Thanks Alex. I slowed down and went through some of the later tutorials, and can now connect the pins of the various parts into various nets. Just one thing - I can't seem to get the tracks to appear in colour. They show as shades of grey. Even when I try to colour them manually, or select auto colour, they're still just showing grey. What do I need to do to get tracks showing in colour?

I've since run it on Windows (Win10 VM within VirtualBox), and I can't see veroboard tracks on the Windows version either. Is there some simple command I'm missing that will make the tracks appear? (And, allow tracks to be cut in various places). The veroboard I use is the simple kind with just the long parallel copper tracks. Cheers David

Hi there, I'm using VeroRoute for the first time on a Ubuntu 22.04 LTS desktop. The software seems to work ok but I can't seem to get the copper tracks to show (for single-side strip board). The manuals and menus don't mention anything about displaying the strips. I've been laying out parts and wires, but I also need to be able to see the strips, and mark where the strips need to be cut. Can anyone please help? Cheers David
