The subject says it all really. If I use the Brave browser (a secure version of Chrome) I just log in. I'm running phpgedview 7312 on a Mac which has solved a lot of problems with the display tabs and the Tree not expanding that I reported some time ago. An intermittent problem that I now have is that on the 'Welcome Page' and 'MyGedView Portal' I sometimes get ERROR 2: PDO::__construct(): MySQL server has gone away but the rest of the site works fine. If I understand correctly these later version run from the database rather than the GEDCOM file, so the database hasn't gone away. Also, on the host...

I have a problem with the phpgedview display. I've been adding quite a bit recently and have sorted out the vast majority of the errors found by the checker, but I've been doing it in the 'Personal Facts and Details' screen and the Family pages. When I click on any of the other tabs I get a new view, but with no data. Hunting around I found that at the end of the URL in the browser there is a 'tag=0'. If I change the '0' to a '1' I get a proper 'Notes' display; '4' and I get 'Close Relatives' etc....

I'm still having some oddities with my GEDCOM file. If I user the 'Gedcom checker' I get no Critical errors, but several yards of ordinary Errors. They are all similar. This GEDCOM was exported from FindMyPast. Generally when you do something that pops up a new window to enter new details, clicking add/save in the popped up window refreshes it to confirm the action has been performed. (I have that option turned on because I like to see the confirmation). Clicking 'Close window' closes the window and refreshes the page that caused the popup, showing the new situation with the addition. However the two 'add a child' buttons on a Family view produce popups that, after save, have a non-operative 'close window'...

For other reasons I have started a Lightsail server on Amazon Web Services (AWS). I decided to add phpgedview to it so I had a more reliable server. Awhile ago I signed up wih FindMyPast and uploaded my Gedcom file exported from phpgedview with the intention of periodically back-fitting the Gedcom from there into phpgedview. Although FindMyPast is very good for discovering infprmation it is no good at maintaining Gedcom files. I made a lot of progress that I don't want to lose.
