When I became aware of DAR back in I think 2007 or so, I was very excited as the backup for the systems I had at the time were not sufficient. I thought a DarGui would solve that issue and so I used the command line dar and really liked it. I thought that the open source community would embrace Dar and build a good Gui. but the DarGui of that time ,I was not able to get working and then I went to Ubuntu and they included a backup scheme which I was unable to use correctly and lost a bunch of data...
