XML Reporting: CHPWHs
Last thing was to add the model number for small integrated to the brand (I messed up and forgot to include in the text version of the CF1R mock-up). Even the "Tank zone" was changed to reflect the zon name so I am very happy.
Treatment of room heatpumps and air conditioners
Missing equipment: Packaged gas furnace
And I've since noticed it is happening on others.
Add Radiant Barrier option for Cathedral Ceiling Construction
For both of these equipment types UI change needed: 1. CFM/ton remove the one on right (it is already on the left of the 350). CF1R/XML Changes: for SPVAC remove from HERS measures reporting (p. 3) Refrig Chg. HERS Verif Table set Refrig Chg to No. For SPVHP remove from HERS measures reporting (p. 3) Refrig Chg. HP Table add "n/a" to 17 degree cap. and SEER. HERS Verif Table set Refrig Chg to No and cap 17 to No.
For both of these equipment types 1 UI change needed: 1. PTAC's HVAC System Data under Cooling System remove 350.0 CFM/ton; CF1R/XML Changes: for both remove from HERS reporting Refrig Chg, and from HVAC Table set Refrig Chg to No. For PTHP in the HVAC table add "n/a" to 17 degree cap. and SEER.
Need Exterior Finish selections for Metal and Cement Fiber siding
For both of these equipment types UI changes needed: 1. Next to EER remove "kBtuh/KW" (on HP or Cooling Sys Data screen); 2. CFM/ton remove the one on right (it is already on the left of the 350). 3. SVPHP HVAC System Data under Cooling System - data is out of order, move @47 after the COP. But it is also not updating to the COP I modeled. Order should be COP 3.5, @47Cap 36,000 Btu 12.0 EER. CF1R/XML Changes: for SPVAC remove from HERS measures reporting (p. 3) Refrig Chg. HERS Verif Table set Refrig...
For both of these equipment types 3 UI changes needed: 1. Next to EER is kBtuh/KW (HP or Cooling Sys Data screen); 2. PTAC's HVAC System Data under Cooling System remove 350.0 CFM/ton; 3. PTHP's same screen same area - data is out of order @47 should go after the COP or COP 2.9, @47Cap 36,000 Btu 10.0 EER. CF1R/XML Changes: for both remove from HERS reporting Refrig Chg, and from HVAC Table set Refrig Chg to No. For PTHP in the HVAC table add "n/a" to 17 degree cap. and SEER.

How to identify NEEA Tier 3 heat pump water heaters
Don't remember where this request originated, but the tier (and now we have Tier 4) is only part of the overall picture for which HPWH will produce better results in a given situation. Without knowing what problem this would fix, we should not fix it.

No, they are not the same (sorry, but I forgot I could hover and get these values). 03 is CHPWHNumComp 04 CHPWHTotTankVol (only reported when HPWHSysDescrip = Large single Pass Primary (which is not reported) 05 is CHPWHTankCount (also only for Large single Pass Primary
Recirculation Loops possibilities are only: Conditioned Space, Semi-conditioned Space, Unconditioned Space, Underground Tank Location or Loop Tank Location (plus each has Source Air From) has two selection boxes: Outside or Zone, If Zone selection it can be a zone type of: Conditioned (or whatever user named it) Garage Attic Crawl Space Hope that is all clear.
WATER HEATERS - CHPWH table and CHPWH – LOOP TANK table should both be in the existing Tchp section: That sounds right. The loop tank is an option only for CHPWHs. It could be none, but if it is there it is a CHPWH component. RECIRCULATION LOOPS table could apply to either central DHW or CHPWH. Yes, it is a new section used with either section T WATER HEATERS or with section Tchp WATER HEATERS - CHPWH.
Posting table sent via email showing correct standard design for new, altered DHW.
Verified Duct Design w/o Returns
Incorrect Central DHW branch loss model simulated in CSE
Since Scott posted, Scott fixed, and we apparently have no one who can verify this, I'm marking as verified.
XML Reporting: CHPWHs
Attached is zip containing Word documents showing potential fixes to the schema to achieve the desired reporting for central DHW, and another for central HPWH. If you're visual they walk through of the CBECC screens to get to the desired outcome (it helped me). Another Word doc is a mock up of the CF1R. If you need, there are RIBD19 files, CF1R-BEES.XML, and CF1Rs in current form (file names are in the Word docs).
PV Compliance Credit to offset Standard Solar Thermal Savings
On 8/4 Danny Tam said this is an internal calculation. There is nothing to put on the CF1R. It will be reflected in the PV size. I'm marking verified.
The attached Word document was sent around for review (had 3-4 days). OG-100 reporting needs no changes, OG-300 minor changes to add n/a to reporting. I am also attaching ribd, xml and CF1R files.
2019 CF1R Edits and Updates
Despite the strategy to put the major reorganization of the CF1R in an early all-encompassing ticket, this did not work. It is too time-consuming to verify. Reorganization never happened. This ticket will be closed and any new issues will be added into more focused new ticket(s).
Believe this is related. When there is no other option for hypothetical ducts (whether no cooling or minisplit), put them in conditioned space.
Same issue, but this is minisplit equipment. No attic. Put hypothetical ducts in conditioned space.
Limiting this to initial subject of this ticket (meaning ignore the things I added), this file has both roof types in one file, appropriately named so you can find them, Name the steep slope version of "10 PSF (RoofTile)" as "10 PSF (RoofTileAirGap)." Name "all others" version of "10 PSF (RoofTile)" as "10 PSF (RoofTileNoGap)". I will put all the other requests in a new ticket.

And I've since noticed it is happening on others.
The only issue I find is that the ducted equipment comes in with 0 CFM. This should be 350. Please add a range check to prevent it from running (I noticed it runs with 0, reports 0, but also requires airflow testing; if 350 is entered it runs, reports 350, requires airflow. Results are the same.)
Ducted minisplit, multisplit

Missing equipment: Packaged gas furnace
I've since noticed it is happening on others ("AFUE" missing), not just new equipment types.
Only reporting issue is efficiency shows as "-81" when it should be "AFUE-81". W04_EfficiencyType>AFUE W04_EfficiencyAFUE>81 If that is a schema change, should I assign to Diane or Rob?

While you're at it, many users would like more options. Steep slope implies I can choose "wood shakes" but I can't. We should ask others (Martyn Dodd, Payam) what other words people want to see, e.g., standing seam.

ADU floor area and bedrooms
Multifamily Central DHW count & CF1R cleanup
You accomplished what I was seeking, so I'm verifying it. I tried to create two options for how the central systems might be modeled in hopes of catching every mess that might be created (1 system with 4 tanks, and another version had 2 systems - one with 1 tank and one with 3). Someone will likely break it, but it is doing the right thing.
Hydronic using heat pump as heating source
Pat Split comment 6/5/20: Residential slab-on-grade hydronic heating systems rarely use tubing installed within the structural slab anymore. The tubing is installed above the slab, either in a topping slab or some sort of panelized system. Either way, these systems have a layer of insulation completely separating the tubing from the structural slab. This cannot be modeled. The closest option is to model a 4-foot strip projecting in from the edges of the slab. This exaggerates the heat loss to the...
From RJ: In addition to revisions to address the above issues, we'd like to add a limit to the cooling ventilation airflow of 3.5 cfm/ft2 of conditioned floor area. This is a building wide limit, so the total cooling ventilation airflow for a building can't exceed 3.5 times the total CFA of the building. • Want it to behave like IAQ (when the min IAQ airflow is not met) where an error is triggered after hitting run simulation. • We'd like there to be a UI message on the project level Cool Vent tab...
This is another file with similar issues. I can get it to run to 39% if I switch from no cooling to minisplit, but I get a error that crawl space ducts are not valid (there are no ducts). So the hypothetical ducts are the problem.

Altered DHW Using Wrong Standard Design
Opaque Exterior Door Alterations
See ticket #1109 instead.
Related ticket (hoping they do not conflict) includes this correction: Opaque Exterior Doors If status = existing or altered, the standard design should equal proposed so there is no credit or penalty. Opaque Exterior Door requirements are contained in 150.1(c), and there is no reference from 150.2 back to 150.1. Therefore, there is no alteration requirement for opaque exterior doors.
