I moved to saved game to a newer macbook pro running catalina. Still the same problem. Anyone else have a problem like this?

thanks. edit: I tried to run freecol-git-20230211-mac.tar.bz2 but got an error message. I don't know much about java so I'll have to do some reading to see if i can get it to run Error message: the syntax of the required java version is invalid 1.11. Please contact the app developer
