Most likely it's because the smart equalizer in Dolby Access analyzes the sound and changes the equalization in real time. I used Smart:EQ 3 vst plugin, it analyzes the sound once and equalizes the equalization (for example, if there are too many low or high frequencies, the plugin cuts them down to normal).
Last time I recorded DA there was a long tail on the front channels (I don't know why), but after a recent re-recording this tail is gone, so the file weight is reduced. I recorded DA-Movie with Balanced preset as you asked.
