Sorry I have been away. Only solution was to reinstall windows. Something in windows permission was must have been screwed. I couldn't figure out what that may be and didn't want to run my laptop unencrypted. So I bit the bullet and loaded a backup. I removed bootloader because I had to send off laptop for a warranty repair. I figured if it had the bootloader screen where they needed to hit "enter" to bypass, they might not figure it out. I didn't want to complicate the repair, even if I left instructions....
As you recall, I had one heck of a time getting the Veracrypt Bootloader removed before sending my laptop off for repair. Now that I have the laptop back, I wish to reencrypt the operating system. Unfortunately, I have run into two issues. The process began and got as far as the Preboot Test and generated an error about lack of administartor priveleges. Even though everything was being done from administrator account. 2 Thinking maybe Veracrypt had a bug, I went ahead uninstalled, removed the service...

Veracrypt is far from the ideal solution of truecrypt. Try going to services.msc and disabling system service veracrypt system favorite. If that alone doesn't resolve (which I didn't test during my troubleshooting) then here's the only solution I found Download Disgenius or Boot Itce Go to EFI Folder rename the original bootmgr.efi to bootmgr.efi.old and bootmgr.efi.vc to bootmgr.efi rename the bootx64.efi to bootx64.efi.old and bootx64.efi.vc to bootx64.efi open command box and run disk part sel...
