If you're trying to create a source package, be aware that this process is already been automated. To create a source package, you just need to do this: git clone https://github.com/retroshare/retroshare.git cd retroshare/build_scripts/Debian+Ubuntu ./makeSourcePackage.sh -distribution stretch This script re-clones the repository (I know it's not optimal), removes unwanted content from it, and creates the deb src package. Please go: - https://github.com/RetroShare/RetroShare/ for the sources - https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/network:retroshare/RetroShare for the debian 9 packages - http://retroshare.net for the main website. Also, some Debian versions are still distributing sqlcipher-3.2.0, which has a bug that crashes every program that uses it. The bug was fixed in v3.4.1.
