Perfect, that fixed it. Is there anyway to locally install it and just connect to the remote database (instead of running the application from a file share on the server)?
I suspect the database needs to be set to allow remote connections, since I'm connecting from WAN. If so, how would I do that?
Yes, I've disabled the firewalls with the same result. Also the firewall log doesn't indicate any dropped connections.
Yes, the client launches. I can access using the UNC path. No, the client and server are not on the same network range, the client is coming through using the routers port forwarding. I did confirm the profile selection on the client matches the profile selection being used when I successfully login on the server.
I've just installed version 3.5.06. The server is working. However I have a remote client that is not. I've opened the firewall for netbios (because the exe is on the server; the client didn't install any local exe to run) and the SQL TCP 6603, but when I launch the client and try to login, I get: "Error! No connection to the archive server could be established. Please select another profile or contact your administrator"
