I have just installed 3.5.4 and the server is opening the Norh Amenrican list of servers. I'm in New Zealand and I need the other list of servers. How do I get it?

If I run Jamulus private server on my home network on a separate pc, and with client PC on the same home network , should that improve the latency.

I'm getting good sound reproduction for clarinet by using a Piezo barrel pickup connected directly to the computer microphne input.. I have disabled the integrated mic. I listen to myself on speakers plugged into the computer inputs. Pure sound reproduction. and no ambient or extraneous sounds. No headphones or actual microphones needed. Piezo pickups available online for most instruments.

Thankyou mmatt for the Codec info. Elliot and Luuk I have always used ethernet cable connection. The attachment shows my connection to a public server. I don't believe its good enough. Can you advise. Thanks all for giving me the time

Hello Volker. I'm a great fan of Jamulus. I and my fellow band members would love to use it to its full potential but we are one group of about three in the whole of our country, New Zealand. Most of the nearest public servers are in Australia and have pings of 50ms plus and cannot be used by us. I have created a private server by opening it as public until we are all connected and then we tick the box to make it private. Is that a recognised procedure? I'm currently running Jamulus with an ASIO4all sound program. When I connect to another band member who is only 6km frome whe cannot achieve a suitable total delay - always over 100 with a red dot. Could this be a network speed problem orshoud I consider downloading and installing the Opus Codec to improve this performance.
