After 9 Months of intermediate trying to solve this problem, I finally got the password-protection working. I had to do a "drblpush -c /etc/drbl/drblpush.conf". My configuration settings were destroyed and I had to overwrite the newly generated files with my backup, but now the entries are protected with a working password.
