In the last 2 years i have made many feature request with ideas (some maybe very complex to program). I read them all again today. I always trying to improme my efficency. The best added feature since i use MaxLauncher is the search. Since that i only use the F1-F10 hotkeys and 0-9 to select a tab. Never again the other hotkeys of the bottom keyboard area. Today i would say, forget all my feature requests, only add the group feature or the option to have more fileds (like advanced mode i described...

Thanks for the new version. I activated the option "Clear Search when restoring window" and it works like in 1.20.7.1. Thats for me the perfect behavior. About the problem that i need 2 clicks i made a video where i am clicking on a link and then back to searchbox sometimes. It not work with the first click. I tried also other themse, but no differences. I use Brushed Metal - Dark.

When i press Ctrl+F, then the search box get focused and gets a blue border at my black design. Then typing my search. Now there are 2 ways to defcous the search: Press enter Mousclick outside the box (like trying to click a link) Only when the search is defocused it works to click on something. But i want to skip the enter or the additional click.

Thanks for the new version. It integrates now perfect to my black design. It also clears when i search and click on something. Then i open maxlauncher again and the searchbox is empty and defocused. Thanks for that. In this case we don't need a X button. Only problem at the moment: When i am typing something (without pressing enter) and then clicking at a link, then it is not opening the link, it defocus from the search box. The problem is: I select the search box or press ctrl+f i enter my search I click on something that found (my setup: now my maxlauncher closes automatically) If i open maxlauncher again with my shortcut, it still have the word in search. There are 2 options: Add a x button that delete and defocus search box Better: When open maxlauncher again, automatically start with defocused (maybe empty) searchbox

Sorry for 1. (del), that works. I have blocked "del" with autohotkey to avoid a unwanted delete.

"Del" should work like in any other program. It should delete selected text About the X button, maybe better when pressing X button (within the box at the most right side) delete the word and defocus the filterbox (also with escape it should empty and defocus the filterbox) It would be great to view / hide the box in view menu. The box is breaking a little bit the design.

4 Things about the new search / filter function: It works great If text in the box is selected and i press "del" it don't delete the text, only with backspace (please fix) Please add at the right side a X button to delete the text in the filterbox (after clicking automatically focus empty box to write a new word) It would be great to disable the filterbox and only activate it with Ctrl+F (or the option in the "view" menu to show it or not - maybe a toggle with Ctrl+F would be perfect)

Okay, that is the button what i mean with 2. But not work with a hotkey (like F11 or F12), but it works with Alt+V->D. But i think 1. would be the real improvement, not 2. For me, i will still use it until then without "Hide empty Buttons", because to switch everytime Drag and Drop mode and back cost too much time/efficency.

I never have used the "Hide empty Buttons". But how it works at the moment it have like you say too much disadvantages. What could make it great: When drag and drop a item to MaxLauncher (or within MaxLauncher) then it shows the buttons to place something to it (in that case no need to disable and re-enable the hide option). A hotkey (and maybe a button in the options) that activates/deactivates the edit mode (no autohide, show all buttons)

In my "Recent" folder in windows are folders and files mixed. In "Quick access" are only files. For windows explorer i use QTTabBar and there i have a recent folder icon. I don't know where to see recent opened applications. Recent folders i reach through QTTabBar Recent files i reach through "Quick access" Recent applications not important for me, because i have all programs in my Windows Start Menu (want to move them to groups in MaxLauncher). My most important programs have one tab in MaxLauncher....

On my keyboard at the right side i have these 6 free that are not at the moment in my maxlauncher: ß ´ ü ä + # But ß and ´ is in the number row. Maybe there are really on all keyboards in the world 6 additionals keys.

On my keyboard i need the shift key to reach the (- = ´ ~ [ ]) keys. At alternative 1 there would be no conflict if you can not use the keys that are already used at maxlauncher. In regarding to a possible group feature i think it would be better to have no additional keys at the main area (because of the design of 10 keys). And then we will have enough space. I have made a screenshot and it looks not so terrible if we add only F11 and F12. For me, the group feature is the most important feature....

Better idea would to use only 6 new fields with the other numpad keys instead of numpad numbers: NE (NumpadEnter) N+ N- N/ N. or , (depends on keyboard language) N* Instead of a N you can also use the arrow down that is on many numpads.

This is not a bad idea, but the disadvantage is the positioning of the items if you have no pop-up. And i think it not looks good if you have many groups and at all groups the numbers. I would prefer my ones more. I think regarding to design and function the fix option is the best. But the dynamic would be also okay if it was less effort to program for Madproton

I have made 2 screenshots regarding to this issue. One with an additional window and one with a fix window attached to maxlauncher. Click on a item in the group should close the group and maxlauncher (like you click at the moment on a single item)

When do it as a checkbox then it could be like they are always there, but hiding them until you activate the checkbox. Click the checkbox will show them. When you add then items and disable the checkbox later, the items still. When you activate the checkbox later, then you see again your items in F11, F12 and Numpad1-9 you stored in the past.

I think to have F11 and F12 is a great idea, but it crashes the design. A better idea would be to enhance complete MaxLauncher with the use of numpad 1-9. See screenshot

Hallo, i know the other version, but it does not good working on catching opening new folders to a new tab (like win+e or from my backup program FreeFileSync). At the moment the other version is no alternative to the other old beta version. I use the setup version of maxlauncher, but i have the .mld file on dropbox and use the same file at my pc and laptop. I have some updates: The initial bug with the app.cfg is not appeared again since i use version .33028 The Bug from my last post only appeared that one time (and seems had no negative effect). Only open is the delay issue (copy path from "Arguments" to "Target" manually to fix the delay) .

I have tested it: MaxLauncher Path in "Target" = 1 second Run, and %windir%\explorer.exe C:\ = 2-2,5 seconds MaxLauncher %windir%\explorer.exe in "Target" = 3-4 seconds You can download QTTabBar here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/qttabbar/ Today i also had a new error, when i started my notebook, but seems it has no negative effect (MaxLauncher is correctly working).

The delay also still with "c:\windows\explorer.exe" in the Target. Only if i put the path to Target the delay disappear.

Always the "Target" is "%windir%\explorer.exe" And in "Arguments" is always the path from the shortcut In the video i removed "%windir%\explorer.exe" in "Target" and moved the path from "Arguments" there. After this change it works fast. Word and Excel shortcut files are have the path in "Target" and they works fast without any change.

Hallo, i will help you as good as i can. There was a error in my description. I used since the begin the setup version, but the .mld file that pc and laptop are using is at the dropbox. I have now installed on both the newest setup version. Other things: It would be great to open max launcher with double middle (scroll) click like WinLaunch. For me i have added this function with autohotkey. I use at my explorer QTTabBar. I attached a video to show my problem.

Hallo, it appeared again also at versoin 1.19.7200.35258 I use MaxLauncher portable version at PC and Notebook. I have saved it on dropbox. Yesterday i switched from Notebook to PC and today after i start my computer the problem occoured.
