Weirdly enough, both volumes can be mounted via the favorite system (the mounting dialogue pops up one after the other) if they are connected at boot time

When connecting multiple favorite drives at the same time (i.e. using USB hub), only one of the favorite volumes mount dialog pops up. The other drive cannot be mounted using favorite system. It just pops up something then instantly closes it. The volume itself can be mounted normally but you need to set the preferences that are saved by the favorite system.
