Thanks Steve, my upload speed is about 1Mb/s! Having said that I'm in the process of trying to upgrade to a faster service. Fingers crossed that works out OK. Not heard of it, but I'll look it up, thanks Steve From: Steve Beaumont beaumos@users.sourceforge.net Sent: 01 January 2021 12:18 To: [llcon:discussion] software@discussion.llcon.p.re.sourceforge.net Subject: [llcon:discussion] Re: Mapping more than 2 inputs on Focusrite 18i8 Chris, just had another thought. If your OK with a single session. You could use Jack audio + Carla and map each required input to Jamulus as required. This works well and results in a single stream (and therefore session) However,...

Yes thanks I could do this if needed - I have a Yamaha mixer, so that would work. I guess I was hoping do it within the Focusrite's mixing capabilities, but if not then this would work. I will be interested to see what impact it has on latency though.

Hi Steve, you are right and this is a potential workaround. I have indeed made this work- running two instances of the Jamulus software, mapping outputs 1&2 into the first instance and output 3 into the second. It seems to work OK. My only concern is whether running 2 instances of Jamulus requires twice the bandwidth, as my broadband connection isn't great. I'll find out on Sunday when we rehearse! Thanks for your time in responding.

Hi, I haven't been able to work out how to do this in Focusrite Control. You can create a cusatom mix and direct it to any of the physical outputs of the device - except, it seems, the USB connector to the computer. But maybe someone who knows the Focusrite software better can put me right?

Hi, I have been using a Focusrite 2i2 with Jamulus for a few months and, after some initial messing about, it has been working fine. However, having only 2 inputs is restrictive as ideally I want three: bass, mic + ability to connect iPhone so we can play songs via Spotify if we want to check structures/details. Using the 2i2 I have to disconnect either bass or mic to connect up the phone, even for a 10 second burst of listening. I finally went out and bought a 4-input Focusrite, the 18i8, so that...
