Now that I know that the results tab can be popped out to a new window, I'm wanting to ask again what I did before... make a settings option to always pop it out... Bug report: If you pop out the results, and then close the tab with the " x ", you are left in a weird state, just a grey box and a "Session" menu. I tried "Reconnect" in the session menu, but that doesn't do anything after you enter the weird...

IMHO, this is a terrible user interface. A menu item "reconnect" starting a dialog that says "open a new connection" with a checkbox "oh but skip the part about opening a new connection" ? Errrk. How about changing the menu item to "database connection" , it brings up a dialog divided, the top section has a button "open a new connection" (if it is closed), or if it's still open "close and reopen connection" (if it is open) and "cancel", and the bottom section has a button "close the connection" or...
Glad to hear that something like what I'm suggesting is on the table. I would also like to add that I think it's important this is the default behavior that closing and opening the program takes you back to where you were. Of course, since the beginning of time, programs have had abilities to save their state. But having ALL your programs neatly close down, and neatly open back to where they were, is where I want to see things headed, and where the rest of the industry has gone. SquirrelSQL tends...
