I can confirm that IDJC 0.9.1 works with libshout-idjc 2.4.4 while connecting to Shoutcast 2 beta 1. AAC and metadata enabled. Great work guys!
I can confirm the problem with Shoutcast 2 beta 1. No connection possible. If I choose to suppress metadata, the connection succeeds but people can't connect to the server.
Thanks, I'll try that. Two questions: Do you also have this in /etc/pulse/default.pa? ### Automatically connect sink and source if JACK server is present .ifexists module-jackdbus-detect.so .nofail load-module module-jackdbus-detect channels=2 .fail .endif What do have set as "Server prefix" in QJackCtl, which also gets saved to .jackdrc? For jack1 this says /usr/bin/jackd here.
Can you tell us what you did to get the setup working? I have not been able to get JACK2 to work transparently with PulseAudio, i.e., starting a JACK application always blocks PulseAudio while it runs. I often need to use non-JACK stuff while streaming, so this is a major problem for me. The hints I found on the net didn't help here.
That's quite a relief. Still, is there anything that you would recommend jack2 for?
Thanks for your work, Brian. I followed the instructions and ran into problems with JACK. I had a setup with jackd and PulseAudio working peacefully together (after much fiddling and digging for information) using the pulseaudio-module-jack and jackd running in the background all the time. With jackd2, this does not work anymore. Apparently, the previous way is now discouraged. However, I would rather not have to start and stop JACK when using IDJC or other applications. I prefer everything working...

Do you have any suggestions on how...
I removed one package for nemo that required python3-mutagen. Also python3-mutagen. Then I re-installed all the python2 packages.
