Hey all you wonderful helpful people at sourceforge. I've got the nintendo joy-cons connected both simultaneously via bluetooth. It's been quite the adventure discovering that I needed hciconfig hci0 piscan in rc.local to get both controllers to stay connected. Then I tried several different joystick mappers to get the buttons working. Linux joystick mapper is the first one I've had any luck with. so according to jstest my keys 0-15 but I had to add 16 to get any of the keys to show up. for example...
