XDM has been working ok for months but recently it has stopped downloading on demand video from CNBC. After signing in and running the video, XDM recognizes the stream, gives the different bitrates/file sizes available (720, 1080, etc) but when the download is initiated it can no longer capture the stream. The message i get is XDM could not download the file as server sent an invalid response I tried several times with all adblockers off/on but no use. Last note, It is very difficult for the settings from this program to be erased from the computer system after uninstall. Even after running several registry cleaners, hunting for any/all xdm folders, the settings were maintained from the old install to the new one. That is not good behaviour for a properly designed program. This is very easy to duplicate; adjust some specific settings in xdm, do a complete uninstall, clean your registry, reinstall xdm, your previous specific settings are still intact....

Looks like there are many issues with this version using default options. Normal files XDM should be able to download arent working anymore. Trying to download the 2009 report pdf from https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/plum-line/wp/2018/10/29/trumps-hate-and-lies-are-emboldening-extremists-just-ask-the-analyst-who-warned-us/?utm_term=.c47f982c2d29 XDM gives the error msg "Unable to download file as server sent an invalid response" . also should mention my stats - windows 10 home updated, 2018 pc tested so far nytimes, some yahoo videos download ok.

I found this software through the net which says it should download HLS video. I tried on cnet.com which has videos none of my other downloaders can get properly.
