Hello together, I have problems with the colors of walls when exporting an IFC 4 file with the MVD Reference View (Architecture). I use the exporter with version 21.2.1.0. As soon as a door or window is placed in the wall, no color is assigned to the element. Tested with FZK viewer and bimCollab Zoom. Does anyone have an idea what I am doing wrong or is there an error in the exporter? Attached are a few screenshots and the corresponding (German) Revit file. PS: I'm not sure if I should post my contribution...
Hello Dirk, thank you for testing :)
Thank you Dirk. Do you know what happens if in both parameters different parameters are set? Will the exporter always prefer one? Do you work like this with the "double-parameter"?
Hello, is there a possibility to overwrite the IFC parameters IfcExportAs and IfcExportType which are created as type parameters with an instance parameter? I think the export parameters make the most sense as a type parameter and i created them as project parameters (shared) for all categories. If I now want to have a certain element exported differently then is there the possibility to overwrite the type parameter with an instance parameter or do I have to duplicate the type and change the values...
Hi All, if I Link an IFC-Model into Revit 2018 i have the ability to choose a template in the IFC-Open Options. If I let it blank the importer uses the first template out of the options i believe. When I set the german standard template i only get one storey importet. If i try another template i get all of my storeys. What do I have to do to become all storeys with the standard template? I attached my Revit file an both templates. Greetings

Hi All, i am struggeling a bit with the naming, the hierarchy and the logic of IFC Objects. I know Revit and hope that you can explain it to me compared to Revit. Here is what i think: The hierarchy of Building Elements (Wall, Doors, Slabs, etc.) in Revit is like: Category, (SubCategory), Family, Type, Exemplar Example: Window, Glazing, Wooden Window, 1.00 x 1.00, the Window placed in the Model. In the IFC there are many entities which i think are objects. There are abstract entities like IfcAsset...
