sorry, I'm not familiar with the terminology yet but I think thats what I mean. I just followed the instructions and created the file and folder. The issue is that for some reason my HD free space went down by 5gb and I think that thats the size of the contaimer that I created when I set up the app - my available space on my HD went from a stupidly skinny 15gb to 10gb immediately. I hope I've explained this correctly!

OK, complete idiot here. I was messing with VeraCrypt trying to understand how to use it. I created a secure space on my HD, created a file that refered to it. I tried it with a couple of files inside and generally was happy with the way it worked etc. Then the lockdown happened and everything hit the fan. I've not been able to access my PC at work until today (nearly a month later) I went back to it and I couldn't remember where I hid the file. It took me 3 hours of searching every diectory on the...
