The remote machine is also Windows 10, in fact an identical machine to mine. I suspect the problem might be related to some type of network access timeout? If so, I think that can probably be adjusted. But unless I override the timout completely, the problem would still recur, just less often.
Must the database be on my own machine? On Windows 7 the database was on another machine on my network. I had a shortcut on my toolbar that launched KeePass (running locally) and accessed the remote database (\remotecomputer\Public). Worked great so long as the remote computer was running. Now I have a new Windows 10 computer and the remote database sometimes opens and sometimes not. In the later case it appears to be looking locally for the database file.
