I got the following response from the developer: I've been preparing a new plugin called ComparePlus that is meant to be successor or the current plugin and it has the functionality you mention. It is almost finished but unfortunately is in that state for quite some time now (probably a year or even more) due to my busy schedule. I hope I can finish its first official release soon but I cannot give you a date or promise anything now. So, just be patient.
I created an Issue post here: https://github.com/pnedev/compare-plugin/issues/271 I also saw in a comment from 2017 a reference to an "Ignore Case" option. That seems odd. Maybe you can interpret it better than I did. https://github.com/pnedev/compare-plugin/issues/16#issuecomment-280773981
Actually, this is the wrong platform. Compare development moved to github, there's ComparePlus version 2.0.1. Unfortunately, the new version doesn't support case insensitive comparison neither... Could you provide a link so we can go there to make a request? My work-around for when I need to compare and ignore case is to save the files in Notepad++ and then open them with WinMerge (https://winmerge.org/). This is inconvenient when I don't have the files already named and saved.
Has any progress been made on this feature?
+1. I would also like to have this feature. Is this project still active?
