    Bjorn, I've pushed branches review-updates.0 (the original MP) and review-updates.1 with the changes I made as a result of review feedback (+ some rationale). I've updated this bryce/master branch with these squashed together ready for landing to master.

    Hi, sorry I was on vacation all last week. I'll post a refresh of this branch tomorrow, with some changes suggested by our security team, and will be dropping the securetty patch pending further investigation. (I examined the config settings you suggested, but everything's set to defaults, so will need to dig into it deeper - you may be right that it's something at the distro level.)
