we have lot of items that start with 02, so that means we cannot enter these into the system ?? We are currently using Unicenta at our other location as well, but that's an older version I think, and we never had any problem there ..? How it can be fixed..? this is a big issue for us now... we are entire categories of products that start with 02..? thanks

Guys, i have a unique and very troublesome issue here. Some products when i scan, the units come out in a very strange way. For example one item when i scanned the unit come out 7.11 so that the total price came out $16 something for a $1.99 item when customer showed it to me, i had to apologize and return the item. then i checked more items and found the same issue...?? what's happening..?? how do i fix it..?

Guys, In our close cash report, I don't wish to see all the products sold, because the receipt will become too big (too many sku's), but I want to only see the product category total and sales.. example. CANDY - 100(TOTAL) - $100 BEER - 50(TOTAL) - $200 Something like above Thank You Amarbir SINGH

Guys, I have a problem getting the epson printer tm t20 working. I installed the driver from online, and tried to connect it to COM port1. But it doesn't communicate, and test print fails.. Am i missing something..? How do I troubleshoot it.. Thanks

Guys, I need help in adding deposit on alcoholic items i.e beer cans etc. There should no tax on the deposits. Is there any way to add an atribute/script to each product where I can assign a deposit amount let's say $0.20. So when I scan an item, it display the price and another line item deposit amount, and then the tax. But no tax on the deposit. I prefer not to add a manual button because we might forget to press it every time...better if it is automatic.. Thank you all for your hellp!!

Hi All, I have a big issue. We have deals (2 for $x) on just about every product in our convenience store. And we have been using unicenta for almost an year now. But I just noticed that the deals do not reflect in the sales reports that we use to pay our HST taxes and for income taxes in Canada. So for e.g we have red bull 2 for $ 5 + tax which comes to be $5.65. The regular price is $2.99, so for 2 would be $6.76 with taxes. And this is what shows in the sales reports!! It should show $5.65 total...not...

HI All, Our display screen does not show the change given to the customer. It shows the price, but once the trasaction is done it still displays total price and say 'Thank you'. It should have the change displayed as well..

Hello Ricky, I don't accept that since the software's been there for long so no change is needed....many revisions have been to this software since it's inception as you can agree. The continuous improvement however incremental is what needs to be followed if we are to remain competitive especially in this age where things are changing every minute. Now, let's get over this. We cannot replace employee's like that. What we should do it to introduce error-proffing into the systems so that mistakes...

Tej.. Thank you for the input, but I do not agree....This is an absolute bad situation. We cannot avoid it like that. This bug needs to be removed urgently...! Why accept WASTE..As long as we have the capacity to improve/improvise, we should do it tirelesly... I challenge all team members to come up with a viable solution..

These precautions are good but cannot be applied or enforced in actual environment. We need error-proofing / mistake proofing so this can be avoided.... And I am not asking for an extra feature, I think this is a very critical issue....

Hello Unicenta team members, Please support to get this bug removed from the software. This is a huge issue for us. Now our customers are frustrated because of delay and confusion it is creating when it cashes out automatically. Our employees are even more frustrated, and want to give up on this.... We have put lot of hours on it, and I am not ready yet to give up... Please support.

Hello All, I have a unique issue here. When we are in cash out screen where we supposed to take payment, enter money and hit okay button, or click card and hit okay, sometimes some item will get scanned into the change section, and will AUTOMATICALLY CASH OUT !!! This is a big nuisance for us all..It then requires lot a extra work in scanning it again, confuses the customers, and make them wait, and then it also screws up the day end reports... Please help..how do we stop it.. Thanks

Hi All, One issue I have with close cash option is that it is printing way too much information...detailing all products that were sold. I don't need this details when doing close cash 3 times in a day for each shift. Is there a partial close cash option which only prints the categories, and cash in/out and PO's etc...Or what do I need to modify the close cash to get me this information..? Thanks Amarbir

I am not going to worry about customer buying 3 or more...they only going to buy two mostly, so that's what I need to focus on.. Great !! It worked... Thank You so much.. Just to recap for everyone else with the same problem.. 1. In configuration, assign the printer to a com port, same as you have assigned using the TMvirtual utility. 2. Assign the printer 2 to screen 3. In resources, script, change the printer to Printer=2. This will stop the auto receipt printing, but will still open the cash register. There is another post in the unicenta for this...Sorry I remember the exact script name...something with .Printer

Thanks...How do I give virtual com port a different com port ?? If I go to printer properties, and assign printer to a different port (serial), and not the virtal port..then there is no printing at all... Please help

If I use Com Port in unicenta, printer does not work at all....

Printer toggle on/off doesn't effect the cash drawer at all. If I set the printer off, it doesn't open the cash drawer.. In 99.9% of transactions, I don't need to print any receipts. So this is a big issue for me if I cannot open the drawer without printing receipts... Thanks

Now even printer stopped working.. In the printer properties, I set port to COM1, and then in unicenta, change the printer to Epson, mode-serial, port -COM1.... nothing happened..

Thank you for your reply, but let's say the customer has bought other goods as well, then how do I do it as one transaction ? All POS have this functionality where you just hit PO and it takes away the said amount from the total..?

Hello All, Please help me urgently in resolving this issue. Mine is a convenience store, and we sell lottery here, and also do the payouts if they win. In our existing POS, it has the buttons to do the payouts. I punch the amount and hit lotto payout, and it automatically deducts the exact amount from the total. How can I do it with Unicenta...??
