A new file was created and was not labeled as a false positive for both free and paid versions The cause was the "Setup File". it was getting a virus alert, BUT NOT the "PC Equalizer Files" so I used a different setup creator for the new file. Free version: 1.3.3.1 Paid version: 2.0.0.2

There will be another free version, the last one, that is still under testing. Download was not available because the file type was "exe" and this type of file is not allowed on the server, so it was deleted from pcequalizer.com, I re-uploaded it in "zip" format.

Hi Bob Ze I applied your example (in 20 band) and the bass dropped completely, but in the 10 band the hidden frequencies will not be changed and still zero, and that would leave the bass a bit off.

The file (PC Equalizer\data\Plugins\requ\liceline.exe) got many detections in the previous version. the new one is clean, BUT it's "64 bit", so 32 bit users will not able to run it. working on a clean 32 bit version.

Well now things are clear, in first time the antivirus blocked the program and so it showed an error message, and now PC Equalizer considered as a threat. Why does this happen? The program searches for a registry key to read, this key contains the installation location of "Equalizer APO", search in: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UFH\SHC searches for: Editor.exe, Configurator.exe or Benchmark.exe and they are all files belonging to "Equalizer APO". Hi, Open PC Equalizer and go to “Preferences” page, in “general” click on “Equalizer APO Configurator”, check all available devices in both “Playback devices” and “Capture devices” and restart your computer. If the configurator window didn’t show up then you need to reinstall “Equalizer APO” and try again.

Try to reinstall pc eq, the current version was reuploaded about one month later after the first one. The first upload was repeatly opens an URL "inside the software", this considered as puerposless behavior, and it was a mistake that I didn't upload it as a new version, (the url is the pc eq website). I think if redownload the same later version the issue will be fixed.

sorry if I late... I think a driver update was done during windows was update, so "Equalizer APO" should then installed to the new audio driver, and that can be done by running the equalizer apo configurator only and check all sound outputs include speakers, you can run apo configurator from PCE, in preferences page. I hope this will solve it.

Hi tommie pollack PC Equalizer Designed to run as administrator, it works as a text file modifier, this text file located in "C:\Program Files\EqualizerAPO\config\config.txt" "the default path" which requires administrator permission to apply modifications. and here windows for security reasons will ask you that UAC pop-up window. Few users reported that they could not install PC Equalizer because of a virus or threat alert.
