Is there a better place to discuss the implementation with you. I won't pepper you with one off questions, but I'm going through the code now and would like to get your thoughts before I go beyond TIFFEncoder and start integrating it into the handlers.

Even better, I was wondering about that after I wrote my last post. Much easier to just have a set of encoders behind the scenes. If I were to only implement LZW up front, would yo ureject a pull request? I get why you might from your perspective. From mine I could do LZW first (as that's all we need internally) and then subsequently work on the rest for a more fully featured version prior to submitting to you.

I noticed that some dependencies are missing (e.g., libjpeg, libtiff, libfcgi [under /windows], kdu [though I know kdu is not free software], and MemCacheClient) are missing from the repo. How would you like a contributor to handle dependencies? I could of course pull them down on my own, but I don't know what versions you depend on, and that will be a problem for KDU.

Yup, again, apologies. I was expecting dependencies to be bundled for whatever reason prior to finding the (obvious) section on dependencies. I'm all up and running, thanks.
