We are using 4.0.5 version of the UnboundId sdk and are observing a performance bottleneck in line 1157 of ASN1StreamReader.read. method when performing LDAP Search. LDAP Connection pool is configured to use and synchonous mode is enabled for the connections. Our LDAP response times seems to be averaging pretty well around 3-5 ms.
