Eclipse 4.16 update
Hi deb, I think I just fixed it by changing the temp folder to "/Data/tmp". As long as the folder exists this should be working. I also checked all paths Eclipse is accessing during a plugin installation by using the Sysinternals Process Monitor. I'll test and upload the changes soon.
Hi deb, thanks for the information. I changed some lines in the script and reuploaded the 4.15 installer. It should be working now :)
Hi Bokoblin, Thank you for your detailed post. As soon as Eclipse 1.15 is released, I will implement your script. I may remove the delay by default because it would annoy most users. But you could add an error message with a link to the wiki + a pause command if no jPortable folder exists. Kind regards, Berny23
Dear Grunty, thank you for using Eclipse Portable. Did you install the latest "Eclipse Java Development Tools" package? Here is a short guide: https://sourceforge.net/p/eclipse-neon-portable/wiki/Install%20Features/ As long as you can start the portable Eclipse there should be no problem with your jportable version. If it's still not working please also tell me what operating system you are using. Kind regards, Berny
The latest 4.11 version has been revised so that it now starts correctly and sets the proper workspace path. I also changed the upgrade function (override). The batch script used is the following: @echo off rmdir "%~dp0..\eclipse\jre" mklink /J "%~dp0..\eclipse\jre" "%~dp0..\..\..\CommonFiles\Java64" start /d "%~dp0..\eclipse" eclipse.exe
I now replaced the exe with a simple batch script, tested it in a Win10 VM and uploaded it on SourceForge (just redownload the latest version). I also fixed the workspace location and the upgrading process. Sorry for the mess :/

Which OS are you using? There should be an EXE file in the directory "\App\StartScript", which is started automatically by "EclipsePortable.exe". This file contains a Windows batch script that creates a folder link ("\App\eclipse\jre") to "CommonFiles\Java64". Unfortunately, a simple script (without EXE) is not enough because the PortableApps.com installer seems to only accept EXE files. If there's a better way, please tell me :)

Hi Peter Tipping, I just tested it witch the latest Java Portable and it didn't create a "jreX.X.X" folder. But thanks for posting your solution :) (The current jre-Path used by Eclipse can be found under "Help" -> "About ..." -> "Installation Details" -> "Configuration" in line 27 under "-vm")
Hi user, thank you very much for the notice! When I wrote the description back then, both versions (64 bit and 32 bit) were on the same page.
I accidentally uploaded the Eclipse SDK instead of Platform Runtime Binary. Now the correct version is online (the old one was much bigger). Kind regards, Berny23 :)
Hi Guido Schwarzer, your problem may be solved if you reinstall your java version or redownload your portable java here (Scroll down for a 64bit version.) I found this official page with the error: https://www.java.com/en/download/help/error_mainclass.xml Thank you for downloading Eclipse Portable!

Hello David, I am sorry for this disadvantage. This error looks strange, but I've tried to recreate this condition and with me everything has worked correctly. I've used my latest portable version (Oxygen 4.7RC2) for testing. However, you can try to make a clean reinstallation. Just download the latest portable version (here), import your workspace and first install java developing tools, then window builder pro (for Oxygen!).
